Vessel Inspection
Pressure vessel inspection, or pressure vessel testing, involves non-destructive tests that ensure the integrity of a new pressure vessel or on previously installed pressure equipment that has been altered or repaired.
These tests are performed by Citadel Engineering Company in order to evaluate the strength and safety of the equipment being tested. They are used to ensure that there are no defects in any part of the vessel, including welds and joints. The tests conducted include ultrasonic testing, radiography (X-ray), visual inspection, hydrostatic testing (pressure testing), acoustic emission testing (AE) and more.
The results from these tests help us determine if there are any flaws in a vessel’s construction and whether it needs repair or replacement. The tests also allow us to identify areas where corrosion might be present so we can take preventative measures against further damage.
